Silver Threads Celebration is an annual four day event which provides Lesbians over the age of 50, and their younger friends, the joy of Sisterhood. We provide women of all backgrounds the chance to relax, attend workshops, learn from one another, enjoy entertainment, swim, shop, dine and socialize for educational, emotional and spiritual benefits.

This annual celebration gives women the chance to make new friends, while reconnecting with old friends as well as learn new ideas and gain information at our workshops. Physical activities available are walking, swimming, dancing and volleyball. In addition, the celebration provides high caliber entertainers and dinner dances for the attendees' enjoyment.

Silver Threads uses all proceeds to donate to LBGT organizations. Our board is  small group of women who volunteer their time for the benefit of their Sisters.

Silver Threads has formed a bond with with the welcoming Dolphin Beach Resort. Attendees feel a sense of security meeting in such a respectful location.

We offer three full days of workshops with subjects ranging from health, aging, legal and financial issues for seniors, sexuality, spiritual topics such as meditation and in addition, various light-hearted topics.  All workshops and entertainment are geared for older lesbians.
